### Definition

A specific headcount or revenue threshold at which the current organizational structure reliably breaks, requiring deliberate redesign rather than incremental adjustment, typically at 25 employees, 50 employees, $40M revenue, and $75M revenue.

Organizational failures at inflection points don't announce themselves as structural problems. They look like individual performance issues, communication failures, or cultural deterioration. 

Naming the organizational inflection point makes the structural redesign predictable and preventable.

### Indicators

- A known headcount or revenue threshold is approaching without any structural redesign underway.
- Symptoms that have appeared (duplicated work, escalation overload, onboarding confusion) are being addressed as people problems rather than structural ones.
- The organizational structure has not materially changed since the company was half its current size.

- Check your current headcount against 25 employees or 50 employees, or your revenue against the $40M or $75M threshold.
- If you are within 20% of any threshold, name the structural investment you haven't started yet.
