D01 - D10 : All 10 Dimensions

Definition

The composite quality of an operation across all ten dimensions — the degree to which processes, team structure, measurement, decision rights, vendor relationships, technology, meetings, onboarding, redundancy, and efficiency have each been built to a standard appropriate for the company's current scale.

Operational maturity gives leaders a structured way to assess where an operation is strong and where it's exposed, replacing the vague "Our operations are pretty good" with a specific, dimension-by-dimension diagnosis that makes investment decisions defensible.

Indicators

  • You can name your operation's strengths but not its specific weak dimensions.
  • No composite operational assessment has ever been done for your function.
  • Operational investment decisions are made by feel rather than by a diagnosed gap.
